Memory Foam

Waiting for Illiana to be born has become our life lately. This last couple of weeks have definitely been the most difficult. I can't complain much because this pregnancy has been wonderful. However, lately my ribs constantly hurt and my feet have been nicknamed memory foam. They are always swollen. Carlos loves touching my foot to see how easily it indents. So kind of him....

We are down to four days before her due date. What day will she decide to grace us with her presence? Your guess is as good as mine.

These other pictures are highlights of what we fill our days with while we wait: the two games we love to play-Scrabble and Monopoly Deal, a baby shower put on by my ward here in Logan, and a summer picnic.

A day for two

This last weekend Carlos and I decided we needed a day for just the two of us. Kind of extending our two year anniversary celebration. So we headed down to Salt Lake City. We enjoyed the aquarium in Sandy, walking around The Gateway, and eating at Toucanos in SLC.

After finishing our delicious food at Toucanos, Carlos insisted our waiters and waitress take a picture with us. He even made them sing Happy Birthday to me. :) There is nothing like being sung to in the Brazilian way. Band and all!

Birthday weekend

I turned 27 this last weekend. Closer to 30. Yikes!! Elyse came on Friday and we went fishing in Mantua. Carlos didn't catch any fish but it was still fun. On Saturday we had a barbeque to celebrate mine and Rakelle's birthday.

His new fishing hat! :)

(Sorry, it's a little blurry)

Illiana

I will not try to update the year I haven't blogged.Oops! Not much happened. However, there was one highlight. We're pregnant!! I found out at the end of October. Carlos wasn't at home at the time. I left a note on his computer that said I love you DADDY! He came home from work, read the note and said, "Oh, that's nice." That's it? What? I had him read it one more time and focus on the capital letters. Haha! It hit him then and let's just say, he was very excited and loud. This has been a very blessed pregnancy. I've only thrown up once (and I would credit that to car sickness) and there has been no major problems. Let's just hope labor and delivery goes as smooth. We have decided to name her Illiana. For those curious, here are some pictures to show the growing belly.
