Waiting for Illiana to be born has become our life lately. This last couple of weeks have definitely been the most difficult. I can't complain much because this pregnancy has been wonderful. However, lately my ribs constantly hurt and my feet have been nicknamed memory foam. They are always swollen. Carlos loves touching my foot to see how easily it indents. So kind of him....
We are down to four days before her due date. What day will she decide to grace us with her presence? Your guess is as good as mine.

A day for two
This last weekend Carlos and I decided we needed a day for just the two of us. Kind of extending our two year anniversary celebration. So we headed down to Salt Lake City. We enjoyed the aquarium in Sandy, walking around The Gateway, and eating at Toucanos in SLC.

After finishing our delicious food at Toucanos, Carlos insisted our waiters and waitress take a picture with us. He even made them sing Happy Birthday to me. :) There is nothing like being sung to in the Brazilian way. Band and all!

Birthday weekend
I turned 27 this last weekend. Closer to 30. Yikes!! Elyse came on Friday and we went fishing in Mantua. Carlos didn't catch any fish but it was still fun. On Saturday we had a barbeque to celebrate mine and Rakelle's birthday.
Illiana
I will not try to update the year I haven't blogged.Oops! Not much happened. However, there was one highlight. We're pregnant!! I found out at the end of October. Carlos wasn't at home at the time. I left a note on his computer that said I love you DADDY! He came home from work, read the note and said, "Oh, that's nice." That's it? What? I had him read it one more time and focus on the capital letters. Haha! It hit him then and let's just say, he was very excited and loud. This has been a very blessed pregnancy. I've only thrown up once (and I would credit that to car sickness) and there has been no major problems. Let's just hope labor and delivery goes as smooth. We have decided to name her Illiana. For those curious, here are some pictures to show the growing belly.

Birthday Boy Part 1
Happy 27th Birthday Carlos!!!
We are having a party on Friday for Carlos but since today is his actual birthday I thought we would have a little dinner and a few presents.

We had a nice steak dinner at Hamiltons. Delicious!

One of Carlos's early presents was The Best of Chicago CD. He is so intense when he hears Chicago. However, he didn't have any of their cds. This was him tonight in the car singing intensely!

This is how the weather was on his birthday. SNOWING! Oh, I am beginning to hate snow!

COLORADO
Carlos and I went to Colorado this past weekend for a sealing of Carlos's cousin. We had a blast. It was good to see family that we haven't seen in a while. All I know now is that I need to learn some Spanish! It's frustrating not understanding what is being said. Thank you Carlos for being my own personal translator!

SPRING!!
SO....we haven't updated our blog in a while but life never stopped here in Logan. Not much more than school and work has happened but I have taken a few pictures of our life.
Carlos is still working at Bear River Mental Health and going to school full time. And yes, there is light at the end of the tunnel of schooling. He is scheduled to graduate next June!! WooHoo!!

As for me, I am working and absolutely loving it! I couldn't ask for a better work environment and class this year. They sure do make me laugh everyday.

Here are a few highlights from the last couple of months.

Carlos surprised me in the middle of a parent/teacher conference with flowers and chocolates for Valentines Day! It was the sweetest surprise. Those flowers were gorgeous and those chocolates divine! Thank you love!
We also had a birthday party for Carlos's brother Israel.

That is about all for now. Hopefully, it won't be another three months before I update again!
